We are a group of Sri Lankans living out of the country who want to join hands with the movement in Sri Lanka to hold corrupt politicians accountable for their crimes and bring the stolen money back into the country.
To achieve that goal, we lobby foreign governments and use international mechanisms to ensure accountability for politicians.

Global Centre calls on Sri Lankan government to appoint ethical, reform-minded Inspector General of Police
11/14/23
In a recent letter to President Ranil Wickramasinghe, the Global Centre for Monitoring Political and Economic Crimes in Sri Lanka expressed grave concerns about rising crime rates across the country and the lack of permanent leadership in the police force.
Concerns Regarding the Potential Appointment of Senior DIG Deshabandu Tennakoon as Inspector General of Police (IGP)
Dear President Wickramasinghe,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing on behalf of the Global Centre for the Monitoring and Prevention of Political and Economic Crimes in Sri Lanka to express our deep concern regarding the potential appointment of Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) Deshabandu Tennakoon as the country’s 36th Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
Our organization has been closely monitoring the conduct and performance of high-ranking officials in Sri Lanka, and we have serious reservations about SDIG Tennakoon's suitability for the role of IGP. Our concerns stem from a series of allegations against him.

Sri Lankan current president Family offshow wealth
In early 2018, workers in a London warehouse carefully loaded an oil painting of Lakshmi, the Hindu deity of wealth, onto a van bound for Switzerland.
The painting, by 19th-century Indian master Raja Ravi Varma, depicts the four-armed goddess clad in a red sari with gold ornaments and standing atop a lotus flower. It was one of 31 works of art, altogether worth nearly $1 million, that were being shipped to the Geneva Freeport in Switzerland. That vast, ultra-secure warehouse complex, larger than 20 soccer fields, stores among its many treasures what the BBC once called “the greatest art collection no one can see.”
Sri Lankan PM assets in the United States
While we're demanding that the President family leave and return the stolen money, here's a refresher on the kinds of assets that we know they have/had in the US. I won't post addresses here due to privacy and legal concerns. Only links to websites and news articles. The intent of this post is not to post personal information relevant to any individual or persons, but to discuss the possibility of questionable financial conduct of the Rajapaksa family in the US and demand for increased accountability of the family by US authorities. All information listed in the post is publicly available and accessible
